Abstract:
Negativity bias is a stable factor of depression, and what’s more, one of crucial cognitive factors which leading to depression. The bias reflects deficits in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex while plethora in the ventromedial prefrontal cortex. The dorsolateral and ventromedial prefrontal cortexes are important brain regions associated with depression in a counteraction model. Recently, many researches have reported that the dysfunctional connectivity of neural circuits in the dorsolateral and ventromedial prefrontal cortexes play certain role in the negativity bias, and thus lead to depression in the end.
