Abstract:
Sleep and wakefulness play an important role in modulating learning and memory. Over the past few years, the effect of sleep on memory consolidation has received a broad interest. Although the irreplaceable role of wakefulness in learning and memory has been recognized, the mechanism of wakefulness on learning and memory is seldom investigated. This review, combined with the our lab work, focused on the influence of activities in arousal system on learning and memory.
